Gloom from umbral dwelling doesn't recede?

So an umbral seed province popped out of an umbral gate and started spreading gloom beside my city. I razed that province and razed the umbral seed inside the umbral gate, but the gloom is just staying there. I don't have any terraforming spells.

You need to defeat the Umbral Dwelling itself, not just raze one of its seeds.

Usually you defeat the umbral nest and gloom spreading from the gate disappears. As I remember, it disappears instantly. Is there another umbral nest inside this gate? Or maybe some other umbral gate nearby?

It's umbral dwellings, not the nests, I thought that for the dwellings you only need to remove the seed provinces.
