Yes the Triology is still fine but good idea to check the technical aspects about the games especially if you have a 10+core CPU.
For Dead space 2 you can just use the Marker patch.
1 - they never said they were not remaking 2 and 3, dev simply said it was not greelit now
2 - it didn't have bad sales, quite the opposite actually, if I remember correctly sold 2m on release and contnues to sell to this day, problem is that EA expected f*cking 5 million sales for some reason, so it's the usual didn't make unrealistic amount of sales so executives consider it a failure
Also, it's important to remember the remake was released in 2023, even if it was gonna happen 2 would probable be released at bare minimum around 2027 or 2028, EA put Motive Studios to work on upcoming Iron Man game though so if remake of 2 ever happens it's probably not gonna get out before 2030
Either way it's in the limbo, which is the same as not happening really, we can only hope that the long term sales were good enough to change EA executives mind
