Will Carmageddon: Rogue Shift have microtransactions?
Carmageddon: Rogue Shift does NOT and will NEVER have microtransactions.

In the Pre-Reg Event, if players unlock the Beatcoin Card, a one-time addition will be made to the player’s Beatcoin currency; essentially allowing players to choose one perk before their first ever run.


Is Carmageddon: Rogue Shift a mainline Carmageddon game?
Rogue Shift is 100% a spinoff.

We are not attempting to make Carmageddon 4. Rather we are taking what we feel is at the core of an exciting car combat racer and experimenting with a new format, in an attempt to reimagine an IP that has laid dormant for too long.


What does Carmageddon mean to 34BigThings?
Carmageddon means a lot to us. It was THE favorite game for a few of us, and in a couple of cases, the game that sparked the thought, "How are videogames actually built?"

It represents something that cannot be condensed into one or two game mechanics; freedom to explore and experiment, technical achievements, gleeful vehicular brutality, hilarious chaos and excess, and that hateful love letter to arcade driving games. Most of all, it represents the joy and pride in daring to be controversial and doing your own thing. Our interpretation of Carmageddon is born out of our identity as a studio, and our will to carry the brand forward, even into uncharted territory.


Where’s the open-world and all the pedestrians?
We get why those elements are sacred to long-time Carmageddon fans (which includes us). They are a part of what made the OG iconic.

Since Rogue Shift is a spinoff, not every original element will be making a reappearance in the exact same fashion, or in the exact same place.

Our goal with Rogue Shift is not to sand off the Carmageddon edges, but rather to focus on a few, specific aspects of the bone-shattering Carmageddon core and turn the volume up to 11 on those distilled elements: vehicle physics, spectacular chaos, and hitting many moving things - two-legged, four-wheeled and more.
