First guy: 6 and 3
Second guy: 3 and 1
Third guy: First guy's second number (3) and second guy's second number (1)
Alan: 4
Colin: 5
6s are 3s and 3s are 1s (Making the selection 1 and 1)
So:
The first number would be 3+4, but 3 is replaced with 1. First number should be a 5.
No relevant replacement for the second number, it's 1+5. Second number should be a 6.
Actual result: 6 and 4. Why?
Edit: Ah nevermind, I tried three times and then got the dialogue. Got me there.
"Except in the final answer" means that if you end up with an answer that's one of the replacement numbers, don't do the replacement on your own answer. If your answers are 1 and 6 and you've been told "6s are 4s", you should still answer 1 and 6, not 1 and 4.
Here's how it went
First person calls 6 and 3. Second person calls 5 and 4
Third person eliminates the second guess of the second person. Fourth person eliminates the the second guess of the first person.
Alan holds up 1 finger. Colin holds up 2 fingers.
6s are 1s and 1s are 1s.
I did the math. My guess was 2 and 1.
The answer? 1 and 2.
That's as close as I got in multiple tries and I STILL GOT IT WRONG!!! I miss the sword. I want to cut these gamblers down to size.
