Mirror's Edge

Mirror's Edge

Do you think they will ever delist this game?
Back at the end of 2023 I believe they said they would remove it from stores but then quickly backtracked and said it was a mistake. Whether it was or not I don't know, but would it even make any sense to do so? The game has no real online components. I couldn't see even any selfish benefit to doing it.

not unless they remaster imo. but EA is EA so it could just get dropped at any time.

Epic Games had no reason to delist the entire Unreal franchise from everywhere either, but they still did it anyway.

That was actually expected, Epic removed all their games from Steam, for some reason Unreal lasted longer here than others.

Occasionally games are delisted if there's a major technical issue - I have Kane and Lynch: Dead Men in my library, but you can't buy it any more because the multiplayer aspect uses Games for Windows Live, which no longer works. Fallout 3 has a similar problem although it has been patched.

From what I remember Mirror's Edge is fairly "vanilla" in comparison. I can imagine it being delisted on the unlikely chance EA sells the franchise to someone else, or if they lose the rights to the soundtrack. Or indeed if they remaster it, in which case the original might be abandoned (as happened with Half-Life: Source).
