That is perfectly understandable. The only reason I suggested the F2P model was if the project would have micro-transactions for weapon skin crates. People would be more inclined to pick it up if it was free. I do get that having a modest price also works as well then making money off of key sales or crate sales.
At last, someone not only complaining, but having practical suggestions.
I think it can even work, the game is really good just unfortunate to fall between the cracks.
So with better graphics and better PR it can be a real hit!
Lmao thank you! I wasnt expecting anyone to support my idea. But it makes me happy that you like what I had to say. It is a wonderful game and I agree it slipped through the cracks for sure. I only hope that Gameconnect pays attention to what I am saying and Does something about it.
The safest route for everyone involved is for them to apply for funding from valve. This makes the devs accountable to someone who will take action if they try and pull anything. I am not saying the people at GameConnect would do anything bad. But I don't know enough about them to support a Kickstarter campaign. There would need to be a detailed break down of development staff , annual salary that each person needs to be paid, a realistic deadline of release, etc. But again the safest route for the developers and fans can take is to get support from Valve. Sure Valve would most likely take 30% off the top. But it gives GameConnect a chance to really make a name for themselves in the industry and make Nuclear Dawn greater than before.
That said, this game is giving it a go right now:
