Nuclear Dawn Game Servers Online in Various Countries
Hi,

Wanted to let you know that I have quite a handful of game servers online for Nuclear Dawn in countries such as the US, Argentina, Brazil, Nigeria and more. If you ever wanted to play with your friends in a stable manner, or promote the game and perhaps get a following again, you are welcome to help yourself to the server browser in the game where you will encounter said servers.

I hope it all works out for you. Shame that about 7 months ago this game was kickin' just a little bit with some players from Asia, but it seems their server is offline and so are they.

Best of luck.

There's not much attention given to ND-specific optimizations/plugins/mods that make for a more polished experience on any of the new servers. Not saying we need multiple Redstone servers but a ton of vanilla dedis may just sit idling by; anyone can start up a listen server if they still want to play vanilla with friends. The problem is the lack of people playing.

Some server types that may be nice to have as an option:
1v1 Commander v Commander
16 slot King of the Hill
32 slot Russian/Asian Normal but modded/optimized
32 slot US Normal but modded/optimized

They are indeed simply stock servers at this time. I would not want to bombard international clients with map or skin downloads that are too heavy for their connection, without having a fast download/redirect server set up in the same location of the game server itself. This is possible, but then again if not all the players are from the particular country the server is hosted in, then it still wouldn't solve the ultimate problem. It would need to be a perfect CDN.

I'm all for typical sourcemod plugins though. Tried this with another free Source Engine game but the scripting is just not the same. It would take time, but I am devoted.

The servers being online aren't costing any money other than money that is already spent, as I have a plethora of other game servers hosted as well. I'm not expecting all of these Nuclear Dawn servers to be fully populated within a weeks timeframe or a month, it's just the fact t hat it's a lot better than having a totally empty server browser, and it's far more convenient when you look at said server browser and find a server you can connect to which is less than 1,000 miles away.

I want to specifically dedicate most of my time to South America, Africa and Asia servers, as these are the continents that are slowly receiving a lying web of fiberoptic internet connections, so pretty soon just about everyone East/West of the US will be online via satellite or fiber. No time for delays. Minimum foot through the door, at least.

Personally I don't have much time to play. I've been hosting game servers for many years when they were $1-$5 per slot depending on the configuration and only on Windows with TCAdmin. Game server hosting has come a long way and it is still not perfect.
