I play on an MSI laptop, the game used to run smooth as a whistle about a year ago; it is now an unplayable nightmare.

The launcher and everything works fine until your actually in the game, the difficulty / game setting are already choppy/laggy before entering the game. Alongside this, the loading times are horrible, and when loaded into the spawn area, the guards have no animation and peanut doesn't move. When I play the game it play around 10-20 fps at all times, and is extremely choppy. Peanut also turns invisible so you just randomly die to an invisible peanut while trying to play an unplayable game.

I have tried manually setting my display settings to 100 to prevent display issues.
I have tried multiple times to completely delete the local game files manually, and then deleting the game, and redownloading it from scratch.
I have tried resolutions, fullscreen, and borderless window options. All have the same problem with them being just as choppy, and just as unplayable.
I have played with all the ingame settings to manually set FPS levels, lowered graphic settings, etc.. I have had no succession.

I need outside help for this. If anyone can give me some insight as to why I can't play this game normally anymore I would love to hear why. Thanks!
