The game does use the Steam cloud save syncing though, so it should be relatively backed up already.
I cant find my saves in Gamepass version.
And can I have more slots to save? I wanna start a new char without losing my first one, but the save option doesnt seen to allow me to use a second slot, my first save is always selected.
Part of the reason why we are having problems with the gamepass update is because I can't find it either :(
You can make new saves, the UI is slightly confusing there, but it will never overwrite another character.
Thanks! I'll make a second char them.
If I find the save, I'll let you devs know. And another thing is: I had an char before, but the first save got deleted after unnistaling the game. When I've downloaded again, I had to begin all over again.
Gamepass saves are always inside C:\Users\Your_User\AppData\Local\Packages\
There you can see a folder for each publisher/studio (sometimes the folder has the name of the publisher, sometimes it's the dev even if it has a publisher...weird)
Inside it, more folders. Go there to \SystemAppData\wgs (which stands for windows game saves) and finally you will see a loooong named folder. Inside is your save with another loong name and along a "container" file that stores the id for that game so xbox can identify the save.
i started the demo on Windows store and enjoy it.
Will buy the game and would prefer the steam version but dont want to start from 0 again.
So i need to get the savegame with me.
I found the folder described above
There is a container 69 file in it and 3 more weird named files without extension (i only made 1 char ...) 0KB, 7KB and 716 KB ... guess the big one is the save game?
Can i bring that into steam?

I next simply renamed the file to .sav (it was missing any extension in the game pass folder) ... it loaded perfectly and i kept my char.
As i said, MS doing convoluted things for no reason xD Nice find, thanks for sharing!
