Just glad this thing exists
Dusted it off now that Dakar 2026 started, and damn... I wish there was an other Rally Raid game out there with better physics, as much as the cars drive like ass, the whole 'follow the trail breadcrumbs for about an hour per stage' racing is just addicting as all ♥♥♥♥ :D

Is this game worth buying? Why so many negative reviews?

So, the physics is crap after all? Is there's no physics in this, they can make whatever type of racing there is, it's just not worth it.

The physics are quite poor compared to literally any other racing simulator, and the performance can be completely hit or miss depending on your system specs, lots of issues due to the use of the unreal engine that the devs never fully ironed out before losing the Dakar license and being pulled from the project leaving us to pick up the pieces. Sometimes very frequent fatal error crashes that plague all PC players. Dakar 18 and Dakar Desert Rally were always going to be extremely ambitious projects for Sabre Porto (formerly Big Moon Entertainment) as they were more well known for producing higher quality shovelware type games.
I agree. Tbh I don't even mind the terrible physics. They're not realistic but they can be quite fun. And the experience of driving a truck through the desert while following "breadcrumbs" is unique. However the deal breaker for me is the crashes.
