People who like tennis play a game like tennis manager. That being said, this game is bad... really bad. There are far superior tennis manager games out there.

Think of football manager only its tennis and you may be able to get your head round it. You watch matches and change tactics etc and train athletes. Its not the FIFA of tennis simulation but the FM of tennis sim.

There are actually no other comparable tennis manager games i can see btw

Can I play this game on steam deck?

I played the Tennis Manager 2021 edition, that one had problems with the underdog won too often like rank 1k won over a top 100 ranked player pretty often.

This has been fixed.

They have added an angle where you can watch from directly behind your player, which I love.

From what I personally have seen game is similar on a lot of points from last year, with lots of improvements though, I think this years edition is the best so far and for me a good game.

Its a management game, so you only manage it.
you can watch the player you train play though, or sim the match.
I dnt think that there are any games out there which has "manager" in the title which lets you control your player, then it would be a tennis game and not a manager game.

Pity that the dev have caught the EA disease like 2K games (e.g. TM 2022, TM 2023, TM 2024, etc). This game would be way better if they took four years to develop the new version while supporting the last one as well as releasing yearly roster updates adding new players, tournament locations, new locations, more upgrades that allows you to specialize your academy, etc. You cannot create a new game with so many variables in one year especially with reasonable expenses (and selling price too).

Dosappointed in the devs for catching this disease.

TM 2022 is better than more recent ones. The only major problem that I have found, the game does not flush its cache. My game crashes because my PC ran out of memory (32 gigs RAM and 64 gigs of page file).
