why am i not able to start up the game?

evrytime i try to start it up is gos to a black screen and idk if its normal for it to stay for idk how long. the longest is i think a minute i had played the game due to this.

I'm having a similar issue. It won't even let me play the game. When I press play, it acts like it is starting up the game, but then it just doesn't start. I've reinstalled it multiple times, but it won't work. I've never even had this issue until the recent update.

I'm taking a wild guess that the problems we are having are caused by the new update (with the workshop being added and all that). Hopefully things will get patched if that is the case.
