Best starter difficulty for first playthrough?
Title. I'm on Normal right now, and everything is fairly easy. I'm not sure if it's because I've accidentally over-leveled or what (doing the Nameless Bandit Stronghold rn as a level 23 and I'm demolishing everyone), but I was wondering if it evens out later on or if every fight will be a stomp in my favour. If it will be, I might restart, though idk if Hard or Nightmare would be better. Ideally, it won't be tho so that I can just keep on w/ this playthrough LMAO

EDIT: nvm, I kicked everyone's ass except for the Boss'. That mfer one-shot me. Praise be to my sus Master. Still willing to take recommendations on difficulty tho. I don't mind a bit of a challenge as long as it doesn't become ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.

I find normal the most enjoyable and hard if you're bored. Easy is too easy and nightmare is too hard.

I think I'm gonna head onto Hard. I don't want the game to be a complete breeze, but I also don't want to pull my hair out.

This game is GREAT in that it rewards you for starting on easy and grinding. Once you get a decent number of achievements, you can leverage that into an easier run on the next highest difficulty via extra starting stats/traits/items.
I wouldn't recommend starting on HARD if you want to use suboptimal weapons like pens or musical instruments and distribute starting stats in things other than CON and STR, because this will make the hardest battle in the game almost impossible without respecting in a different weapon or abusing game systems.
I thought I'm gonna be cool pen welding scholar with high intelligence, but it turns out pen has just a few good manuals that are locked behind specific factions, and intelligence is significantly weaker than it's description might suggest
