if she dies in the Buddha temple then she dead. if she lives she can still be recruited normally if i recall.

No if she survives she is to traumatized to go out. Her Whole Story line is Locked and you cant recruite her. If you cant recruite her, you als cant recruite the Siblings in the confuciusm Sect. Its not truly automatic, Buddha Temple only happens after the Yan Army leader is dead. So if you delay murdering him or rescuing the emperor and killing him at the Chuxiang Siege, you have infinite amount of time to do Qu Wangyou's quest, even if you reach Fame 10.

The main point of no return for many characters is Rescuing the Emperor, including Qu Wangyou.
In the chain of events (that all happen after 1 day after another if you meet the Fame requirements), you can no longer get: Princess Fu Qing, Han Hongyu, the 3 mentioned characters, any of the Yan Yun Army character,s, Sakuraha, Ye Yinping (if you progress even further to the Court Trial stuff), and Wanyan Zhaoning (if you haven't met her yet), and a few more I'm probably forgetting.

i has a fame of 10 from char creation due to a perk unlocked form the united all faction ending. it helped me speed run getting the maiden house wife.

i spend over 400 odd day with the yan palace camp unlocked but never visited. as i was on a 15 wives & 40 brotherhood run. probably the longest run ive ever done.

only did that yan palace camp after getting 15 wives as i was then after SAkuraha that was one of the first thing i unlocked as i really love the accessory you get. that 300 to mp really helps speed up getting your supporters to 800 mp.

ah you just need a very high medical skill.

every day you can go to a doctors and spend a an hour practising acupuncture points on the dummy's for one point each day. you then find skill book,s the n help boost your skill.
but the fasted way is to find the following, a Yellow internal skill book, called "sun burning sky technique" with 84 medical skill boost, works the same ways "ancient sage poison technique" will help toxin with a 84 point boost.
i have one on my standing stones and the other is unlocked with an achievement i pick up as part of my 6 option on a run start.

you want the book, you can get it by going back to nameless region, going to the cross roads, which will show up if you have wonder about enough to get to rank 1 i think?
you then fight your way though the gate, and getting both letter will be almost impossible, as both duke hate each other.
you then fight the group of people, climb down the cliff with 20 st, 20 rope or 20 dex. with 100 stamina. keep a lot of food with you that can refresh your stamina or your trapped.

climb down cut some trees dig up a mound wher you will find some stuff and this internal arts book, you cna also find soem other stuff like some giant peaches in the tree's for a 5 point mp stat boost.
then refresh you stamina back to 100 with the food you brought or buy from inn lady if you have her in your party. then get back up using the rope's, 20 str or 20 dex.

After unlocking the Buddhist temple, you need to rescue the hostages. There are a large number of members of various sects and social figures being held captive inside.

You need to deal with the enemies on each floor. Please note that you can rescue the hostages by having a conversation with the NPCs. However, when you leave the temple, you will encounter a battle. In this battle, the hostages you rescued will be involved. If they die, they will permanently leave the game in the subsequent gameplay.

Therefore, the best approach is to deal with the enemies inside the temple, then leave the temple alone, and after defeating them, the NPCs imprisoned in the temple will automatically return to their respective sects.
