Do you actually want Int?
I feel like the higher my level gets, the less MP I have. My Int is 10, is that too high? Too low?

Mp doesn't increase or decrease with levels. If you never learn any martial arts, you can end the game at 100 Int or 500, depending on your Int.
Each point Int lowers your Max MP by a flat -35, up to -490 total. You won't lose any more MP from getting up to 25 Int compared to 14.

If you want more Max MP, you need to either learn more Internal martial arts or eat a bunch of +Max Mp Herbs (which can be harvested at Level 3+ Herb Gathering at legendary nodes, like in your homestead or Taoist Sect)

A full breakdown of your MP would be:
Total =
  • Base MP = 100. This number can be increased and decreased via eating Herbs and doing Events (increased by Ice Prison ice bed, or decreased by healing Shi Wenxiu or Ji Fuling). This can go below 0 into the negatives. This starts at 0 for other party members.
  • Int MP = 490. This is lowered by 35 per point of INT. Cannot go below 0.
  • Internal MP = MP from Internals. Only while you have that Internal learned. Lost if forgotten.
  • Gear MP = MP from Gear. Only while you have that accessory equipped.

You lose out more by not increasing your Int but its not worth investing extra resources into either. It gives both Atk and Def but Str and Con are better as they have Passive Tree traits that interact with them while Int does not.
So raise your Base Int up to 10 and call it a day.

Some events have specific Int breakpoints if you care about those:
Lost Forest - Enlightenment Zone - 1 Int gets you Tremor Ult, 10+ Int gets you an Exp scroll.
Ye Yinping's spar with her dad - 10+ Int gets you a copy of her Ult for yourself
Taoist Sect's Infinity Cave - 1 Int gets you Infinity Manual, 15+ Int gets you Infinity World Ult
Orchid Preface Pavilion - 25 Int needed.
And a few others.

after a lot of achievements, having a starting int at 24 is not hard.

int lowers your MP as stated above., but it also boost things that is skill based such as parry, which are more important in high difficulty's.

my two simple INT get around's are simple the two below.

---

FIRST grind to level 100 unlock the grand master achievement.
the give you the talent called "ravenous reader" cost 25 point in char creation.

it read's "when learning from any manual pierce any conditions."

to be fair you wanted level 100 any how if your trying for defeating the sect leader, so it was part of the process regardless.

so the infinity Manual need you to have 0-5 MP.... as a requirement for learning from the manual...., well not any more you don't.

that 1K MP fro the internal, that you did not have to jump though hoops to get. not a problem. you no longer have a MP shortage problem.

---

my SECOND INT get around is accessory's.

the accessory your get from saving pink ant city lady give you 300mp.

explanation of its impact.
inn lady had about 240 mp when you get her.
with this accessory she now has over 500mp . this lets her skip learning 2 or 3 useless blue internals, to get that 300 mp she need for those lovely purple internals, which are just stepping stones to the yellow internals. so they save time.

---

so do i worry about my INT level..... Nope.
hope the helps.
