Getting Jianghu Conqueror trait or ending will progress the quest.

How would i obtain this trait?

Obtain the true ending for Jianghu Conqueror, by eliminating the six major sects, as in killing off all the NPCs. Including Shifa temple, Confucius sect, Taoist Sect, Crime Investigation Bureau, Langya sect, and the water camp.

Or you can save the emperor and get his order / something. If you show that order to the Prefect, the quest will continue.

Seemed a bit weird to lock myself in one ending or having to kill half the sects just for this sidequest

A stupid quest with inexplicably high requirements for completion.
Seriously, when did money (gold/fame included) stop being the main currency for solving any problems?

Well, that's because the character that you can obtain from this quest is rather OP. Well, not for her martial art, but her ability to get more money for you, like a passive income that come to you periodically.

you need one of 3 social potion.

the gorilla general from the ye battalion
the Jianghu Conqueror.
the Jianghu Master.

you get Gorilla General form just doing the ye quest line.
the other two from beating up all the 6 main sects of subduing them.

then you have to grind a way at making all those lovely purple cosmetics she wants.
