This game do not show the deathrates of kids, wifes or workers through illness, freezing, accidents, etc.
On the others side, most of the vikings did not have their own houses. They lived in houses with the whole family or poor ones and soldiers in the longhouse of the clan leader. It was normal that many families lived in one great house. But the game let us build houses for one familiy. So every new couple needs a new house. Only the better, richer had own houses.
And this leads to the effect, we must build houses permanently. But other building games have this problem too. Sometimes even worse for example "surviving Mars".
Maybe their should be another option: many families can live in a house. Greater the house, greater the amout of families who can live inside. But with "more than space is"-families lifing inside living comforts decreases with means hat the families are less willing to get more children.
Once you're up to 300+ population a few homeless doesn't impact happiness much.
The other thing I do is never build 1 / 2 homes. Build 4+ at a time. Best even to build 10 and a marketplace. That gives you a bit time before the next complaints.
Ive started being more selective letting outsiders join too now.
I recently picked up the game again, but I'm beginning to suspect that I'm going to lose interest again before I get to the point where I can build ships. Mindlessly building houses and making random choices isn't fun. (e.g. some guy is being bullied and my choices are to banish the victim or leave the victim crippled? Really? What's the good choice there?)
Please tell me they have a least fixed the issue of people moving into houses?
