As long as there is no building in the area where the trees are located, they start to grow again 3 days after they are cut.
After some materials are produced, they are transported to the marketplace for food and to warehouses for storage. Therefore, always have workers working in the marketplace and warehouse. Other than that, some materials, such as clothes, may not be visible in the warehouse because they are immediately used by the villagers.

Thanks for the feedback.
There was nothing built on the site of the trees.
Edit. It's impossible to advance with the "mission" of producing soldiers if I cant produce weapon parts.
However I had troubles in collecting stuff to the market and the warehouse, even with hired people they won't go. However, when I individually selected the different stuff (crops, fruits, breads services) they started to gather everything! It works for now :)
I actually don't see how I can build trade ships. Should I research in the tree? I have the trade port, but no crew and no ship, only two fishing boats. In the shipyard I don't see the option to build them.
Thank you guys :D
