Steam Deck discussion
Hi! I noticed that some players want to play the game using their Steam Deck. So I decided to create a separate thread to provide information and updates about the Steam Deck's compatibility.

Currently, the state of Steam Deck support is not very great, but the game should be playable.

Proton and Linux support
Furnish Master does not require Proton to be enabled. The game has native Linux support! However, it can also be played using Proton Experimental. You can try both to see what works better for you. Personally, I find the Linux native mode less buggy and more stable.

Controller support
70% of the features are supported by controller. Although it can be a bit uncomfortable, you can actually play the game without mouse emulation features or touchscreen.

You can also enable mouse emulation mode in the controller scheme settings (or whatever they're called). The game doesn't require a keyboard to be played, so you can stick to the mouse touch panel.

Graphics
The Steam Deck should be able to run the game smoothly on medium settings.

Please note that high shadow settings are only supported when using Proton Experimental.

Known critical issues
Black Screen
Some players have mentioned encountering a black screen upon launch, with music playing in the background. If this happens to you, try enabling Proton Experimental. If you still see a black screen, launch the game in Proton Experimental mode using DX11. A prompt should appear when you start the game.

Any news on further improvements to controller support and steam deck controls? I just couldn't get past the tutorial on my deck, because I had to use control prompts which were undefined for specific actions.

Yes Please, I would like this game to support and run Steam Deck with native controls.
Would love to play if verified on the deck :)
I can’t wait for an update to make this deck verified!
tried to play through the tutorial on steamdeck and couldn't finish the tutorial because it wouldn't let me put away an object. Also of note the settings could only be altered using the touch screen they wouldn't respond to controller at all. it looks amazing and i hope i'll be able to play it.

Hello! Unfortunately, this bug occurs for a small portion of Mac users and cannot be reproduced on any of my Macs. Therefore, it is very hard to find the reason for this crash and fix it. I would be very happy if you could DM me on Discord (flakky) or add me here on Steam, so I could ask you some questions and try a couple of things. It might help a lot.
Has steam deck playability been improved, since the start of this thread discussion?

I only know the newest update introduced an option to change keybindings, which should help, but I actually can't confirm. I have refunded the game, since unfortunately the dev didn't see my post and I wanted to play this game exclusively on my steam deck.
Unplayable performance wise on my deck. As soon as I try and resize the room, it drops to under 1 fps. This is with all settings at minimum and 50% render scale.
