I have found a few games where you can do this, but none of them is released right now.

yeah for real, i wanna make my own creative layouts and buildings, not a mission ot make a specific thing. i want full sandbox freedom

But the selection of furniture that can be used is unfortunately very limited. Luckily, I was able to install a few mods here. What I love: You can choose (with mods) your "own" survivors ...

these would be helpful if they were actually games available now, and literally werent things we just mentioned not really liking, ie, building/designing for other people, small single rooms etc...

Yes, I haven't found a proper home design game yet. They all always have this thing where you have to complete tasks for others. So far, *Paralives* seems to be the game that suits me best. It's really strange that no game has been developed in this direction yet. There are countless games where you can blow each other's brains out, but a game where you can simply design a house in detail... nothing.

EDIT: Try "Above Snakes" ... it is with fighting and Adventure and a lot of grinding ... but it have some nice new gaming ideas ("creating your own map around you") AND you can make your own little farm (with a sweet baby wolf).

i mean i dont really wanna make a house, i wanna design a cafe layout that i suddenly had an idea for. like a cozy cafe, and i wanna buld a layout for it, one with like a loft but like none of these games seem to give you that sandbox freedom of having a full building or making your own building with floors and custom shapes. deram setup i tried out, and you can kinda make a layout, but its a single floor, and you can only work with square shaped rooms no diagonals, or circles, etc.

Inzoi and House Flipper 2 both have a sandbox building mode. I find building and expanding structures (multi-floor support) very intuitive in Inzoi, similar to the experience in The Sims, which I would also recommend for house-building purposes (it has a wide range of furniture options, customizable items, and expanding rooms is much easier).

I really like the art style of Furnish Master; it appears to be a smaller and simpler game, but it lacks the quality-of-life (QoL) features found in the other games. Even after the latest updates that introduced interior walls, I wasn't able to create a full layout for a more complex apartment without encountering issues. However, for designing a single room, it’s fantastic and super cute.

Moving your character from room to room also differs significantly between the games I mentioned. Ranked from most to least immersive:

House Flipper 2: First-person view, movement with WASD keys (full controller support).

Inzoi: Third-person view, movement with WASD keys.

The Sims 4: Free-camera mode; move your Sim by clicking the desired location. There's also a first-person mode, but it’s quite buggy—the Sim’s head wobbling looks strange.

Furnish Master: interesting but limited camera mode; the camera moves too quickly for me (I'm unsure if there's a setting to adjust this), making navigation somewhat difficult.
