Put this in the launch options:
LD_PRELOAD=~/.local/share/Steam/ubuntu12_32/steam-runtime/amd64/usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libfontconfig.so.1 %command%

It then will run perfectly.

Game finally boots up on Linux Mint, Ubuntu Noble

Mind: I first tried manually installing the newest kernel, search for "linux-oem" in Synaptic or apt
