Steam deck and controller settings
I'm starting the game again after some years of not touching it. Now I'm playing on my steam deck. The generic controller layout for the steam deck made sense and I'm getting the hang of it, but I've died more than a handful of times playing a melee class while trying to walk backwards.
\\I have found that whatever the mouse is over in combat the character runs to, so if you are trying to walk back from a big bad and another bad is behind you, then you will turn instead of trying to maneuver. Sometimes not moving the left stick all the way to the boundary makes the character move but is there an alternative?

Thanks for reviewing how this game functions with Steam Deck controls.

As for not getting stuck on enemy targets. I'm not certain on your current key-binds however in-game options (upper right box or from pause options) does lead to another screen where the key-binds can be selected and seen. There is a "move / don't attack" option that may solve the issue once bound to the controls of your choice.

If I play a ranged class I can't just shoot my weapon though, the only command I have for the attack has to be mouse over... This game just wont work with controller
Horrible. I have no idea how these games get Platinum on Proton DB. Default controller do nothing, unplayable. Community controller is more or less. You see mouse track everywhere. Its just not worth it.
