Duplicate a save file?

Hi, so here's a really dumb question.

Is there a way to duplicate a save file?
My first playthrough was with some friends, but I want to keep using that character to play on solo.

I should probably just start the game with a new character, it seems easier.

Hi Ran-Log. That's not a dumb question!
If you're playthrough with friends was a vanilla (un-modded) playthrough, then the character you created for that should still be selectable/playable when you play offline vanilla.
Basically the same for a modded playthrough too - you should still be able to play it as a modded character offline, but you need to be using the same mods you used when you first created that character.

Make your own backup copies of your save and modsave files on a regular basis. They are located in here on Windows 10:

This PC\Documents\my games\runic games\torchlight 2

The Steam Cloud doesn't sync well with this game, so making your own backups and turning off the Steam Cloud for TL2 is recommended, anyway.
