[Solved] Linux: Failure to launch, "Text file busy"
**Steps to resolve at bottom of post**

I just bought and downloaded the game today and receive the following error when trying to launch the game through Steam:

/bin/sh: $HOME/.local/share/Steam/SteamApps/common/Torchlight II/ModLauncher.bin.x86_64: Text file busy



When trying to run the game directly via the command line, I received an error popup telling me that I needed to run the game within Steam.


OS: Arch Linux x86_64

Specs: i7-4790K @ 4.4Ghz, 16GB RAM, Nvidia GTX 960

$HOME partition is a 1TB JFS partition.



UPDATE: Steps to resolve,

1. After installation completes, shut down Steam

2. Re-launch Steam

3. Press "Play"

4. Game launches just fine



Apparently, the installation via Steam maintains a lock on a file so the game won't launch. Shutting down Steam releases the lock.
