is there any point collecting those golden wings?

those golden wing icons that are scattered through out the whole game, what are they for?

just to get an achievment? nothing meaningful?

Golden wings (collectibles) don't affect Toki Tori before picking them all up. That's just to get some achievements:
- Pick all collectibles up.
- Fill all collectible deposits.
After that, Toki Tori will be able to get wings. Toki Tori will need them to earn achievements like:
- beating the obstacle course.
- finding the dark room.
- finding the Red Rose.

How to do that ?
There are some achievement guidesby Toki Tori 2+ community members.

Warning: entering the aids above will potentially spoil your progress and even the game.
