[Linux] Menu Items Not Working After Sudden Crash
System Info
OS/Distribution: Linux Mint 17.1 64-bit
Processor: Intel i7 M620 @ 2.67GHz (2-core, 4-thread, hyperthreading & turbo enabled)
RAM: 8GB
GPU: NVIDIA NVS 3100M
Graphics Drivers: NVIDIA 340 from xorg-edgers
Desktop Manager/Environment: LXDE (KDE also installed)
Kernel: 3.13.0-46-generic
X-server: 1.15.1

Description: I received a steam trading card while playing and seconds later the game crashed (no error messages or anything, just vanished). When I reopened the game, it was in windowed mode and would not allow me to change various settings. It seems that anything on the right half of the screen (from the pause menu on) does not recognize when I click. Even the "exit' button refuses to work.

Terminal output (Session after crash, menus not working): http://pastebin.com/EqPSeWwS
I don't see a log (none in the game folder, alternate location?)

I'm having a similar issue. The first time I played the game I could open the 'pause' menu just fine. Now I can't.

Tried nuking the game files and reinstalling. Still not working.
Tried nuking the game files and reinstalling to a different HDD. Still not working.
Tried turning of Steam cloud and nuking the save game files. Still not working.

When I press 'start' on my gamepad the screen turns black. Sometimes with the loading animation, sometimes not. Either way, the menu never loads, the game is stuck and I have to kill it.

This also happened after I received a trading card, game crashed, and it was windowed when I reloaded it.
