How to post a screen shot
I wasn't able to find any instructions on how to include a screen shot in a post to get the thumbnail preview. I just stumbled into it. So, for everybody else, here's how you include a screen shot in a Steam discussion:

In the game, press F12 to take a screen shot.

Then press Shift+Tab to bring up the Steam overlay, and Upload your screen shot. Make it public.

In your post, just include the URL of your screen shot (it should look something like "http...sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=..."). Steam will automatically notice that's a screen shot and include the thumbnail and link to the full-size image. (You can find the correct link on your screenshots page; select CONTENT from the menu with your username.)

This took me way too long to try and figure out. I am new to Steam and taking the screenshot was very simple but trying to figure out how to post one was a little more difficult then i thought it would be. Finding your post was very helpful! Thanks!

This is confusing, i understand everything except how to get the URL from the screenshot. And how to actually post it.

On your screenshots page, right-click on the one you want, select "Copy Link Address".
In your post, right-click and select "Paste".

There doesn't seem to be a "Copy Link Address" selection anymore when I right-click on photos in my screenshots. This is making it very tedious since I have to highlight the text (it really doesn't want to be highlighted) and then copy and paste. Is there a new easy way of copying links?

thank you so much @A][In I was busting my head trying to figure out how to upload screenshots.
So I have a question: what happens if I just press F12 but never hit the SHIFT+TAB keys and upload? The screenshot(s) I took do(es) not get saved locally to my pc's HDD?
