Dark Room Achievment

Is the dark room different then the dark room with the photo developing pans and photos hanging?

Yes. It isn't the photo dark room. It's a room that is literally very dark.

I think you will have to have all the collectibles to reach it. Not sure if it is required or just very helpful.

Thanks statueofmike... I did go into one area with no light at all, maybe I didn't explore it enough to get the achievment. I'll have to back track and try to find it again.

Because it is just a dark area and not the actual dark room. I also found it by pure coincidence. So here a little hint that probably won't help you:
The actual dark room is entered through a teleporter.
