Dual frogs in portals

I'm stuck on this puzzle with two portals and two frogs. I want to get up to the left and above the cliff edge on the far left of the screenshot here.
I managed to get the frog up there but I can't go up there myself without letting the other frog relase his bubble which would ruin all my work. I've worked on this puzzle for a good 2.5 hours at least.

You have the right idea, but you need to get SOMETHING ELSE up there along with that frog. That's all I can give you ;) good luck!

If you provoke the upper frog and it walks into the water, that is still ok if you can later get a berry bug and yourself up after it.

Thanks! I was on the right track, but I floated the first frog from the floor up and that's why he ended up below the edge instead of in the water * stupid*

To make getting Toki Tori to the second frog with the water to the left of the portals area a bit easier, use the hermit crab from the area to the right of the portals area.

I actually solved this bubbling myself towards the upper right way instead of the upper left, lol. Was wondering why do I have to do it 2 times to get all the goldens wings.
