country rising from anarchy and nuclear war sounds fun!
but sadly the flag idea is not possible purely fro time as the game got way above 1000 different cities, cultures, sub divisions and countries each with their own flag/symbol and i just don't got time to make all of that

I know that game have too much possible independent countries. Maybe it can be for countries. I mean that maybe flags for cities, cultures, subdivisions and possible independent countries can be generated random or generated from flag of Original country (for example cities and subdivisions (that are states of an country and they aren't occupated country) can generate flag from country of original. Culture unions and unions can creat be merging flags of countries of union members. Splited countries will gain new symbols, color change (added) and adding additional pattern from list for prefix flag symbols. So if we say that flag of subdivision, cities culture unions, unions, splitted countries will be generated, merged from countries of original and gained "from prefix flag list"... wll its still be at least 400 flags to make since of independent countries and occupied countries) Well at least its my solution for flags problem. I guess only if someone wanna to draw specificly flags for this game its make possible of making for every possible country an individual flag, but i think flag idea still possible.
