Core's attack incredibly out of sync with the sounds

The sound of the core charging and then firing is incredibly out of sync with the actual attack for some reason. Everything else is fine, but the core usually fires a good half to full second before the sound effect would suggest it should fire.

Yup, this is indeed a thing that needs to be fixed. It being out of sync isn't helping anyone. Also, sometimes some of the sound effects stops playing entirely, as if all the sound channels are being used up. This especially happens when you get the rapid-fire weapon pickup.
