How do you switch between artifacts you own? Vanilla
I have seen posts referring to inventory icons, satchels and what not.
I can only view my artifacts when I select gift artifact on another player.
I have two weapons and want to change which one I have equipped.

Open your inventory, there you can unequip an artifact to equip another.

Thank you both, I knew there must be a way to do it. The chalice is underneath your dynasty/culture for anyone struggling to find it in future.

Any thought's or contributions on how to navigate artifacts in general would also be welcome. They seem to me to be an aspect of the game that could be very powerful?
If you want to do a lot of dueling then getting a smith to make you a weapon + armour can add a significant amount of personal combat skill. Though warrior society is generally more effective for that.
Some of of them add +10% tax modifier, or stats, or a little piety/prestige, some of them are dependent on religion. It's very varied and random. Unless i have something specific in mind I generally don't pay it too much attention.

If you have the china dlc you can just request some via that menu. Some of those are fairly strong.
crafted artifacts from the smith events were nerfed to be capped at certain levels based on your tier, so you can't get the best stuff unless you're an emperor, and even a duke is lucky to get something about lvl 2.

the other artifact sources are unaffected by that nerf, it's just the crafted ones from the Smith events.
