Alas, custom games don't support horde mode. :(

To bad. Why not? There is a Skirmish Horde Option. Why not Custom then? Any problems adding it? In general I wish to get a option to set hives to unlimited (basically survival only) With increasing amounts of hives per spawn and maybe even hives that have upgrades on spawns.

Any chance you think about adding to adding something like a survival mode?

I never bother with horde mode in skirmish - I always use survival or survival elite from the campaign, as the money counter helps to give a sense of progression.

Yeah, I've unlocked everything so I don't need the cash, but it's useful for keeping score.

It's more difficult than it appears.

The short of it is that custom is a special game mode that's very hand-crafted. It's a completely different map than skirmish modes - I just made it look like it's the same.

I tried the random survival mission and it worked. I bought all mercenaries at start and managed to play quite some time but it's kinda lame that I can't select the map size and other stuff.

Anyway... I love your game. The planetary Camping is freaking awesome and the random tech @ start forces me to step away from my basic tactics. All I wish would be a real base building endless mode. Since you more or less finished your game I don't think you would put in such an effort for just a few people who would be interested in it.
