0 Units Lost No Casualities [Video]
Normal Playthrough with every level has 0 units lost. Since this is a playthrough you only get the normal upgrades you would have at the time. Also used no buffs like extra units. The game saves when you either buy something or exit a level so when i would lose a unit I would exit the game. Although sometimes I would lose a unit right at the very end then have to re-try. Those were edited out. I basically used a similar setup as when I did my speedrun where I got upgrades: medpod, minefield, officer, flame, sniper, ammo, and then the minigunner for the final level. While it may be possible to save all your allies in all the other levels, Periapsis seems impossible to save all the friendly units. They just spawn enmasse and rush the enemy, fighting until they die. Saving all structures is not possible because of Momento Mori where the game forces bunkers upon you, and in the start of the level they almost all are destroyed.

Congrats! How long did it take you to nail the entire campaign with 0 losses?

Must have been a lot of practice runs. :)

Well it was much easier than I thought originally. I was thinking the allies would count toward the final count but they don't. Medpods are great and when you have multiple it is very hard to have units die actually. If you had the Life Support it would be even harder to die too. I was even playing aggressively as well. I did have to redo some levels because a couple guys died.

The issue levels were The Return, Periapsis, Anabasis, and End Game. Momento Mori was not a problem as I modified the strategy from lolmassivebanana's video on saving the general. Basically medpods, follow the general around, then mines, and bp farming hives.

The Return took some getting used to, because the way I usually play is aggressive. The enemy guardians keep attacking you even after you kill the Harvestor so I had two failed missions on that one. Not hard just different from normal.

Periapsis has that semi-invincible enemy minigunner and he can cause problems along with the enraged spawn sometimes. It is weird it is like he only dies if your units are close to him even if you have already killed the bunkers. So I had a death where I got bogged down getting to him and one guy died.

Anabasis got me a couple times with the enraged spawn. They are probably the hardest enemy to run from and also do the most damage it seems.

End Game is kind of a RNG thing, and also I was testing out getting the minigunner instead of Engineering. Turns out the minigunner is a better choice. If i survived depends on the mutations that come up mostly. Reinforced Hives is the worst and that messes up everything since I cannot use my favorite 3 heli attacks to kill a hive. That one mutation where the cannons push your guys back is very hard to deal with. Not sure exactly how to deal with that too well other than snipers and helis. The mine mutation can be very hard becuase that kills your units really well. Clones can be dangerous too, think I had a bunch of clones focus on one of my guys and kill him. The minigunner also needs some special attention sometimes since he cannot deal with anything close to him. Think I messed up once and he died from that. Also had a guy die due to a messup where I had a unit get too close to a guardian nest when I was trying to have him get some ammo. So yea this level I had to redo a bit.

i imagine this would be harder to do on the higher difficulties but not too bad.
