is this game beginner friendly?
see topic title, i have almost no experience with strategy games. thanks for the answers in advance.

On the lower difficulties? Definitely. Later ones? Less so.

I would say so. It takes a second to figure out the workings of the game but it eases you into it with the campaign. The expansion is a good bit more challenging with the morale system and some of the extra things that are added in but it's optional even if you own the dlc

It should be okay. If you run into trouble, you can run a live Steam broadcast of your playing, and then we can watch you play in real time and critique/advise your management to help you improve.
