At the moment, I'm working as a programmer for Brace Yourself Games. The game designer part of me is having a nap. If it ever springs into action, I'll let people here know!
I really love infested planet - my favorite game that never lost the reply value for me :)
Your project could be to evolve the game or/and add content instead of creating something complete new. I guess if the content is "big enough" you could even add it as a DLC to get some extra for your work.
As an inspiration input: How about adding steam workshop for custom scenarios and maps? I would really like to create own maps with a really high difficulty. And if possible to edit the scenario (example: kind of survival, but it is clear where the enemies spawn. In return you only get minimal BPs for destroying the hives).
Or maybe even units? Or adding new enemies?
Keep up your great work :)
Those are great ideas and I wish that I had time to work on things like that. It turns out that coming home and programming is pretty hard after spending the entire day at work programming.
I'm glad that you're still enjoying the game! Hearing positive feedback means a lot. :)
