Rocket Bear Games is hibernating. Most of my time goes towards a day job with a local game studio, but sometimes I have spare hours to spend on side-projects.
The bottom line is that I just don't have enough time in the day to do anything big after work.
Yeah! I'm pretty happy when I look back on the whole thing. Quitting my day job and going to make an indie game for a few years was kind of crazy, but it worked out.
What game did you work on? Titan or Phantom?
Phantom Brigade, but I haven't been with BYG for a while now. Hopped over to a different Vancouver dev a year ago.
Well PB has turned out nicely. Can you mention what game you're working on? Is it Red Hook by any chance?
Yeah, people really appreciated the stompy mechs. :)
I know the Red Hook guys personally, but I've never worked with them. It's another big indie studio - you seem well informed so you can probably make a good guess as to what it is. :D (Probably best not to post it in public though - I try to keep the Rocker Bear hat separate from the "day job" hat)
Spaceships?
Not Blackbird, though I've a friend who works there. Anyway, let's not play the guessing game. :P
Haha no worries. Hope to see more solo work one day, really do.
