I'm glad that you like the AI allies. I always enjoy that sort of thing in other games - I think that in the last mission of the Zerg campaign in SC2, you had a fully-functional AI base helping you. Jim Raynor would call for help and everything if I recall.
The chances of another Infested Planet DLC are fairly low, I'm afraid. Between coding for work and then coming home and working on a secret hobby project, I'm afraid that there's no juice left for extra DLC ideas. If I ever discover a way to clone myself or win the lottery, I'll let everyone here know. :)
Hah! I didn't even remember that. I recall really liking the concept of helper AI, but I guess I forgot actually implementing it. <_<
