That's odd - there were no updates to the game at all, Is there something that could have changed on your end? Driver updates, stuff like that?

Not sure it was really weird . Just playing normally. After turning of then booting up again all sound is off. Messed with sound settings, reinstalled, checked other games sound, nothing... really like this game so it's quite annoying. Will maybe try deleting save data next

The save data shouldn't have any relation to sound.

I don't suppose you changed anything on the hardware side? Like plugged in a new pair of speakers or a monitor or something similar.

Sorry that it just stopped working all of a sudden - I'm pretty confused too.

If you want to try a last-ditch fix, you can try installing OpenAL using the Windows Installer here:
https://www.openal.org/downloads/

Then after that, temporarily rename OpenAL32.dll in the game folder to something else.

It's a bit of a long shot, but it might work.

hi its working again now, it must be something to do with my laptop sound setup. its a windows 10 setup, strangely ive had no issues with my windows 7 desktop. the sound on the laptop seems to come through an alteranete channel ie laptop speakers instead of hdmi sound. still dont understand why it disappeared and now suddely returned. must just be somthing to do with my rig. game is great by the way, thanks for your help and quick reply! :-)
