Survival Mode endurance and mutations issues
Hi,

I'm currently playing the first Survival mission on Medium difficulty and have lasted to the point where my reward is over $120,000. I have a chokepoint that is well defended and bottlenecks the aliens coming from the rest of the map. The only aliens that can get past are the Burrowing Hives, which are quickly dispatched by my defenders.

The enemies don't seem to be making more and more progress against my defences (with turrets and snipers), so is there a point at which the game will just give up and say "you win", or will I have to give up myself and let them destroy me on purpose to end the mission?

Also, as an additional remark: the mutation icons on the sidebar appear to max out at 17 mutations displayed - I have had a few more mutations show up as notifications, but no icons are added to the sidebar display.

Edit: Here's a screenshot of where I'm at:

It does say "you win" in the daily challenges, but for the single-player missions I figured the player deserved to bask in their awesomeness. :)

Survival and Elite Survival don't seem to have any Game Over state, other than losing all the points on the map. The aliens just get more and more powerful over time until you are either overwhelmed or the huge number of aliens causes the frame rate to drop so low that you just decide to quit. My best on Elite Survival was over $1.9m before I threw in the towel, and I could have easily continued well beyond $2m if not for the fact that my PC was struggling so badly at that point.
