Can't play!
When I start the game and I log in, the screen of the game goes through the bottom of the tv screen.

Yeah its in windowed but the screen was cut so i couldnt see start, options, etc. So, i fixed that problem and got it to fullscreen, but now when I see the log in screen its fine. Then i press log in , I dont see any buttons.

I think I have to change my resolution from outside the game but I dont know how to.

set startup-parameters in steam. (rights click on the game, properties, launch options)
-w x for width (e.g. -w 1920) -h x for height (e.g. -h 1080). and -windowed for well....force window mode

I think this is one of those games you can't set launch parameters for.

I've never seen this before, but it seems that this is something with the Catalyst drivers. Here's a forum post about another game: http://www.frictionalgames.com/forum/thread-5949.html

You may want to try the fix from that page.

I should add that, actually. It doesn't work right now.

For now, here's how you change the resolution outside of the game:

- Go to C:\Users\<USERNAME>\AppData\Local\Rocket Bear Games\Infested Planet

- Open up pref.xml in a text editor

- Change the lines below:

<perfFullscreen>false</perfFullscreen>
<perfWidth>1280</perfWidth>
<perfHeight>800</perfHeight>

I can't play full screen. In any resolution. As soon as I set it, the mouse disappears, and after a few seconds it resets since I can't generally find accept without a mouse pointer.

I finally moved the mouse around enough to click the accept, hoping it was just that screen. Nope, now I have no mouse and searching for a way to reset things or the game is now "bricked". Hopefully the XML editing will help...

It worked. Thanks. Doesn't fix the fact that I can't run it full screen like I'd like to, but at least I can see a cursor now to change options. Nvidia 3070 RTX here on a 4k monitor.

You're lucky... I'm constantly "greated" with an error "Desktop bit depth is 8-bit. Please set it to 32-bit to run the game." and I have 3070Ti... My monitor is basically 3440x1440 (Odyssey G7) but I am unable to change the bit depth in Nvidia Control panel nor in Windows settings of the display. So for me it is another product which will be "dusted" away on my account.

That's very odd. You should be able to see the desktop color depth in your Nvidia Control panel under "Change Resolution". At the very bottom of the pane, there is a section called "Apply the following settings". From there, you can select "Use NVIDIA color settings" - the desktop color depth is one of those settings.

Can you take a look at what's there and see if it's 32 bit? To be honest, I'm surprised to see that error message because windows doesn't even allow people to select the bit depth any more.
