DNF in Quali and you still keep your position?
Is this how it works in the real leagues? If a car crashes out / Red Flags during Quali why on earth do they get to keep their starting position. These guys just ruined my tuning and they get to start in front of me

Qualifying is based on recording the fastest single flying lap during the session. So long as you have registered at least 1 flying lap, you do not have to finish the session. If it helps, I believe that if they die in qualifying, they don't start the race in front of your cars, even if they registered a quicker time whilst they were alive.

That would make it a different game! 😁

Currently, drivers won't get injured or die in Quali. It happens only in Race.

As for the starting grid position, as Jamus said, as long as you set a good time, it doesn't matter if you DNF after that. Placement in Quali is based on the best time. Although, if you DNF you lose the chance to improve the part tuning and set a better time.
