Fix for daily rewards
Hey folks, you may have noticed that the daily reward system went a bit peculiar at the start of the month. We've deployed a fix to prevent this happening again, as well as some changes for the benefit of people who've already logged in this month and are now in a slightly odd state. Exactly what you'll see from now on will vary depending on your circumstances:

  • If you haven't logged in yet this year, everything will work as normal when you do.
  • If you have already logged in in January, and you hadn't collected all of December's daily rewards, you'll continue to collect the end-of-month rewards. So you'll soon be collecting free ruby cards if you haven't already. Enjoy! Once you've completed that month, the system will loop round and you can start collecting January's rewards.
  • If you've already logged in this month and you have maxed out December's rewards and haven't been getting any new ones, you'll now start getting rewards again. You'll have missed the rewards for the start of January, but your logins have been tracked, so on the plus side this means that if you've logged in every day in January so far, you'll still be able to get the end-of-month ruby card etc.

That's great, but I have another problem: after the fix the game crashes on loading screen. Do you have any advice or idea for this, please?
We'd need to see your client's logs to get an idea of what's happening. Please create a thread in the Technical Forum, following the guide here to find the logs: {LINK REMOVED}

Just checked, when I start the game, I do not get daily reward screen.
but when I quit, I get shown that I've already claimed all daily rewards of this month.

That probably means that you've already had today's reward (or that you logged in today before the fix went out). The system should work as expected tomorrow (GMT) - if you're still having problems then, let us know.

I have to say, I only discovered this game less than a month ago (and I'm glad I did, as it's quite good), so I don't know whether the game being unplayable for several days is considered a major issue or not. But...I'm truly surprised you didn't offer some small token of in-game compensation as a way to thank the players for their patience in waiting for the issue to be resolved. Something as simple as "Hey, our bad for experiencing the Y2K bug 17 years late, everyone will find a free pack in their collection upon their next login to make up for missing the daily rewards" would go a long way towards good PR. And, if this genuinely wonderful game is to have any hope of keeping its small playerbase from shrinking even further, it seems that better PR is something it sorely needs.

logged in today, it seems that I got now rewards from day 1-4, not todays reward tough... not sure if I have been logging in every day during this month so far, but at least I'm now getting rewards

I can't get 2-nd ruby card!

Just got my fifth reward today (which will make me lose the ruby card for 1 or 2 days).
The thing is, I TRIED to login everyday, but the game failed to start (open the book) in the first days of the month. What should I do?

This moring I can log in normally,but can not in the afternoon,still can't now.It seems that I can only log in once everyday,preventing being lost in the game?"how thoughtful"!
Where are the maintainers who are responsible for the server?

That's very strange, I can't reproduce this problem. What exactly happens when you try to log in? Does the game crash? Are you left looking at the closed Chronicle book? We'll need some more info to work out what's going on.

Hey guys, unfortunately due to the early January outage, we have no way of telling who actually tried to log in every day. There's no straightforward fix (especially since some people were able to log in at the start of January and have accounts in a slightly different state). Even just giving everyone some 'free' logins would cause some players to skip rewards they might want, such as end-of-month Ruby cards from December or Platinum Ingots.

Obviously the current state of affairs is in no way ideal, for which we apologize, but unfortunately most of you won't be able to complete January's rewards. From February onwards everything will be back to normal.
