Failed to download Config
Whenever I start the game It pulls up the screen with the blue/red book. After about 30 seconds it says that it "Failed to download config. Please check broadband connectivity and speed."

my internet is running fine and it shouldnt have any problem with this. Anyone know how to fix this? ( I have already verified the intergity of game cache)

This happens to me everytime I pause steam downloads. Hope that helps

Thanks! I think the servers were down for a few hours when I had first installed it. After a while it eventually worked :)

I dont know if this will work, but if you close out of steam and then run it as admin, it might help. Then again, it might not. it is worth a shot though

There may be something preventing the game from overwriting files in the temp folder.

What you can try is typing %temp% into the Start Menu and hit enter. In your temp directory should be a Jagex Ltd folder - click on that and then on Chronicle Runescape Legends. Inside there'll be a Config folder. Delete it, then relaunch the game and it'll download the config without first needing to overwrite previous versions. Hopefully that should resolve the issue.

Got the same problem since yesterday. Game worked fine before. Haven´t changed anything, Internet is also fine, can play other games/go on youbute etc.

I checked the %temp% thing Raketh suggests but it didn´t help. The Config folder is actually empty.

Re installed the game today, still same error.

Any more ideas?
