why do fractures exist if nothing can heal them?
2 medkits
10 badages
4 SPLINTS later
fracture unhealed
i dont see the point of this system if you yourself dont even know why its in the game

it's a % chance and the chance is displayed on the consumable you're using. Are you sure you weren't trying to heal a fracture on a bionic part with those consumables? It seems like a very low probability to have 2 medkits and 4 splints fail to heal a single fracture.
Doesnt it heal with the round thing and/or white tablets?
I usually instaled the rubber cyborg part that increases chance to heal

Basic Medkits are awful for anything but temporary stabilisation and regeneration during combat in current version. I had full stacks of 5 medkits fail to heal a single wound numerous times. The needlessly annoying medical/drug changes and how easy it is to get injuries regardless of armor is a big reason why I play dodge main, just so I can skip all this nonsense.
Yea I would like a better way to heal fractures, I get it, its massively ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ frustrating to lose a run due to stupid garbage but it happens.

take a breath, step back and come back after youve cooled off. again i do get it, this game causes some severe anger in me too when it pulls ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ that either doesnt make sense or is from bad design, the bad design is usually a crazy interaction to be fair.

I hope you can still find joy in the game once time passes.

@OP:
Oh don't get me wrong, i already escalated the feedback that i think it would be better for the consumables that failed to successfully heal a wound to impact success chance of subsequent consumables by increments, so i know there's something that's an issue with this system. But i saw the clip and you're also using just subpar consumables to begin with. So as much as it sucks to lose a few 50% rolls in a row, i trust you understand on paper why it's not a freak occurrence to miss 3 times a 1/2 chance.

Your clip doesn't show you using 4 splints..

Would you go ape after 3 50% misses in XCOM? Yeah well you basically did that there in your clip, and then used consumables which have basically no chance to heal fractures afterwards.

As much as i have gripes with the system for wounds currently, it does have the merit of forcing you to engage with the consumables system more than you used to before.

Splints are 55% for fractures which isn't that much better than first aid kits, so you have to resort to the new consumables in conjunction or the upgraded version of the consumable otherwise.

Most times you also get by dragging yourself around with an excess of food and regen and it becomes okay to deal with the minor hp loss until eventually you clear the wound. For the rest of the time, there's Osteodron i guess

@ OP: Bandages don't heal fractures. And failing the remaining rolls you mentioned while unlucky aren't really outside the realm of possibility.

I'm gonna go ahead and strongly doubt that you missed 15 coin flips in a row. Basic medkits are 50% chance to heal wounds, and that's before any bonuses to heal chance from augments, implants or clone rank. If you missed 15 times in a row, you must have had some sort of debuff, which i'm unaware if it even exists, greatly lowering those odds (in which case its a skill issue that you kept trying anyway, instead of finding an auto-doc).

Basic medkits are insanely strong, and I use them all the way until I can craft or have a healthy stock of the military first aid kits. That is one hell of a bad take.

does anything cure amputation? I been playing a bit but when ever I fight a disc thrower I lose a foot 60% of the time and using a rag every 10 turns is so tedious that I just give up the mission.
bro wtf skill issue of all skill issues here

No normal medicine heals amputation unless they changed something, but I think the transformation pacts might heal it post transformation, because they seem to clear all wounds once transformation expires, but never had the chance to test it.

You play long enough and anything can happen. Also your calculations forget to account that you are playing hundreds of missions in quasimorph and if you are bringing medkits to every mission it is going to happen eventually. Like it may have only happened in say 5 missions out of 500 missions but it is super annoying to the point that I will remember them especially if I lost or nearly lost due to it. So the sample is not from an isolated "15 coin flips"

The whole chance based healing system and the wounding system as it currently exists is stupid and I would throw it out instantly if I could. I honestly preferred it when the game was one shot central, but I'm aware that I'm in a minority, so whatever.
