Winds peak isnt in rws anymore
Hey thanks for the feedback, I've been looking for ways to improve the left section for a while and a silo sort of style section linking the 2 wall climbs was the most natural way I could think of doing it. I don't really understand what you mean by the times on it are so much faster? Anyway if you have any better way of making the wall climb section throw it at me. Also I did try to make pitfall easy to grasp but playing it quickly is challenging at points both to pull off and even I'm not sure I know the fastest strats in all areas. Anyway if you have anyway ways to improve the map I would appreciate it :3
I don't really understand though, the silo swing climb area is meant to be faster than the reverse lib swing as a reward for swinging back into the boost to hit the lever. unless you mean that it would be an unfair advantage in which case all players go the same way so its not like you'll have one player doing the silo climb while someone else does the slower reverse lib swing. I thought it was a nice way to spice up the left side from what it used to be. About the boost, I understand that its fast but it is slower in all cases to go to it if your in the lead due to the way I made the gates in the silo section work although I may make it slower if you go the lower route just after the start to force the more risky and balanced top route. Hope that clears it up, if not just play w/ a friend and I think you'll see what I mean.
EDIT: Sorry if I came off as aggressive I don't mean to be but I'm not the best at explaining stuff :>

I'll keep a month in between adding/removing maps. So the deadline is now June 1st; the next one will be July 1st.
Thanks! I'll definitely keep that in mind, it might be a good idea to slowly expand the list over time.
The poll for which map should be removed is more or less tied, so I won't be removing any of these maps.
In response to some of the feedback in this thread: I'll see if I can set something up that allows people to express their opinion on the RWS maps in-game, instead of via strawpoll. Hopefully we'll get more votes that way - and a more clear overview of the general SpeedRunners community. Or, since we recently added the option to pick specific curated workshop maps in Ranked, I might keep a better eye on the stats of which maps get picked most often.
In the meantime, I'll set up some new polls for next month. One of my suggestions to be added will be the map I mentioned earlier, Snowed In. If you have any other suggestions, please let me know.
As for the maps to be removed, I've seen complaints about Club V and Rush Ring, so I'll add those in the mix. Any other maps that should be considered?
PS: I deleted a lot of comments in this thread. Not because I don't appreciate the discussion, but simply to keep things organised.
Strawpoll might not be the best way to gauge the community's preference. As I said in my previous post, I'll see if I can find a better method. Until then, it's the way it's going to be. Better that than having no influence on the curation at all, right?
The main thing to take away from the poll is that clearly there was more excitement for Pitfall to be added than for the two other maps. So, that's the map I chose.
These polls are meant to be a way for me to gauge the community's preference in which maps to add (and remove). The results are used as input for the decision which maps to curate. That decision, though, is ultimately completely up to me.
Anyway, instead of lingering too long on the "false votes" issue, I'd rather advise you to take this opportunity to be a part of the curation process and focus on which maps you guys would like to see added/removed next (if any).
So far I've heard suggestion for Club V and Rush Ring to be removed, as well as a few others.
I haven't heard any suggestions for which maps would be a good addition?
I don't think it was, no.
But look, if you guys would rather have a different map than Pitfall in the curated list, please be so kind and suggest one.
