this gun needs some heavy heavy buffing...the ultimate effect gives me 3% crit chance lololol.....it might as well not even have an ultimate effect at that rate kek....i maxed it out...that is with it maxed out, yes...3% crit chance added to skill critical hit rate when push W to look at stats....that is absolutely pathetic.

It's either a bug or you are looking at the wrong buff, base Blue Beetle gives a 10% crit chance at a 50% rate every Fusion skill activation.

Seen a similar post on reddit last night trashing it for the wrong reason and I have to ask, what are you guys smoking?

Maxed Beetle gives 30% skill crit rate on fusion skill activation and base is 10% ON TOP of your descendant's BASE CRIT CHANCE.

Pair it with Viessa (especially Cold Bloodedness) and you can make an absolute crit machine out of her with the right build. It's only a shame that Absolute Zero mod (paired with Polar Night set) which is more centered around crit damage changes every skill into Singular type so no way to trigger Beetle's Arcane Energy with that build.

The base rifle is already pretty decent but that unique is one of the better ones so overall this is among the few unique weapons that is worthy of its status and worth building around with specialized reactors.

Different descendants have different base crit rates; You should pay attention to that before deciding to build crit on them.

i have figured out why it's so bad....
it doesn't give you 30% of your current crit...it gives you 30% of your base crit...so even on viessa like one worthless low tier youtube build watching kid above typed it's still worthless lol.....it only gives 4.5% crit chance on viessa....3% on bunny...etc...since it ONLY gives a bonus to the base crit and the mods on your character do not apply bonuses relative to that buff either...it's simply a small additive...the effect is a smidge better than the supplemental crit rate buff on front lines mod lol....sooo bad. but there it is...it's simply worthless unless your character starts with like 30 or 40% base crit rating i wouldn't bother with it

As far as I know. all stats work like that. They always give you a percentage of your base, not your total. That's why people often use the term "diminishing returns", because you aren't multiplying each time you add to a stat, you are just adding a percentage of the base. In the rare occasions they do, devs make a special point of it.
I haven't tried the blue beetle, but it should be obvious if that's the case.
So far, I have found many of the top-end guns a bit difficult to understand. They don't really offer any benefit and if they do, then it's not very applicable to the "real world". In other words, they sound "great on paper" but when you try to use them, they are disappointing.

yea...seems there are only a handful of actually useful "ultimate" guns....python is solid cause it debuffs mobs to toxic as it fires so if build out for toxic and run a frey with it i think it could be a great one...thundercage is good mobbing gun...perforator is another solid one with it's damage to shields...good for quite a few colossi during the first parts of the fight with their shields up. other than that the "ultimate" effects on the guns don't really that ultimate lol....

think it's bout best to just run a good purple and call it a day in most cases...anyways havea good one poca...beddy time here zzzzzz....

People are already realizing that python, though a solid SMG. Is not offering up MASSIVE damage via its prey effect and that it is a bit overrated in player estimations.

So far my experience with ultimates is they don't feel very ultimate. Thundercage does exactly what it needs to do and feels decent. Everything else I have used Devotion, Smithereens, Executor, Python and Enduring Legacy have ult perks that feel very meh. Executor is a lot of work for very little pay off compared to Smithereens which asks you to do the same thing for a smaller amount but bigger payoff.

Enduring Legacy does feel very nice to use after all the time spent on Tamer though.

Worthless low tier youtube build watching kid? What proof do you have of that other than your bias? I haven't watched a single TFD third party content, not even during CBT which I played for 80 hours.

Best base crit chance you'll get on any descendant is 15% (Edit: Blair has 20% but good luck making a solid build out of him). 5% on top of that doesn't seem like much but even 20% is decent in a game like this that doesn't give you many ways to reach high crit rates easily but does give you ways of pumping crit damage to extremes.

You can reach 50% crit chance on Viessa if you stack crit everywhere and you can pair that with a crit damage set as I've told you before; Now if you wish to nitpick about one single piece of equipment giving 5% crit chance be my guest, doesn't make you right in calling the unique effect trash though, especially when it's on a weapon giving you that descendant crit chance basically for free. Should have given that clown award to yourself.

it works singular too to debuff things.

works on lepic C as well (prolly more useful than viessa tbh but idk)

Yup exactly this. People are so used to games with 50 to 100% crit chance but their crit damage only scales to 50 up to 100% crits maybe 150% crits in those games.

Meanwhile, this game has lower crit chance like my thunder cage has 33%. But the crit damage on my thunder cage is 570%.

Plus there's three descendants already, Valby, Enzo, and Luna that give crazy crit chance boosts. My valby has her thunder cage critting 66% of the time for 570% damage, insane.

On top of that a lot of shooters have crits as skilled based off headshots or proc chance every shot to crit. This game has both with weak point and proc based crits you can rack up crazy amounts of damage.
