They kept hyping up Season 3 as this huge mega-update, but...
But they’re splitting the content out over six months, and the update we’re getting next month is in fact no different from episode 2. If that’s not maintenance mode, atleast subtly, then I don’t know what is.

I think the season 3 anniversary stream confirmed it. Even if you think that the game is not in maintainance mode, at the very least it is not a ton of new content for season 3 within 6 months.

Even worse, they introduced skips for existing content and fully focus on Axiom as central hub for everything. So they gonna leave all old modes behind.

If Axiom is as repetitive as Sigma Sector and you know that there will be absolutely nothing new except for 2 small dungeons (like new 400% maps), then even the whales will think to move on.

Lets make sure we complain loudly before the content even comes out.

Just pace yourself, it's a f2p game after all. Sure you want to gobble up content in a day or 2, and whine for the rest of the 5 mths, 28 days or you can play other several thousands of games( some are also f2p ) in the meanwhile.

It also apply to sub-based games which all of them are dying, even world of warcraft. It's all mental.

Better yet, engage in more real life social activities...

Asking these guys to touch grass is asking a lot.
6 months is awfully long for a live service season

In which Planet 6 months last 3 hours ?

If you're interested, you can check out how long a season lasts in The Division 2 and Fallout 76.

The Scribe of Avalon was the longest season at 133 days (19 weeks), while Escape from the 42nd Century and Shoot for the Stars tie for the shortest season, both at 63 days (9 weeks).

2 months to 4.3 months, pretty inconsistent and nowhere near 6 months in length like TFD is going to do

It does not have anything to do with taking it slow or not. You can grind a new weapon or character within a few hours because of the pity system like Ines and Serena. So grinding new stuff within 1 or 7 days in a 6 months season is not that different.

The most important thing is the new gameplay loop and gameplay additions / balances and there is neither anything new nor challenging.

You can play the game slow, but it will not make the game better if Axiom is a boring repetitive place like Sigma Sector in XXL.

a perfect example of what seem to be a fun activity but fell on its face and got boring and tedious fast is the new Operation in WF; Operation Eight Claw. Only difference is that this was released with a 20 day activity window, not 6 months. If the devs want the new activities to constantly be played and have players engaged, they should really do refreshes and/or updates to mainline seasonal activities every 1 or 2 months to keep it fresh and engaging
Even if all of this was released at once, it would still be cr@p.

Why not go check the season length of The Division 2 again?
I'm surprised that Fallout 76 is still around considering how bad it was at launch and quite awhile after that
and people who bought overpriced merch never got what they ordered and so on.

It is still a mystery to me why they made a online multiplayer Fallout when it has always been a singleplayer RPG and being able to play with mods is a must for many players and fans

on average 12-15 weeks with a handful of outliers, with Season 10: Price of Power, which ran for approximately 168 days (about 24 weeks), and Season 4: End of Watch. This period lasted approximately 519 days being abnormally long seasons
