Depends on the colossus really.
Some can easily be done no matter the level, its more about your equipped damage mods etc.
Level only matters if you don't have the right gear/mod to back you up.

Having that said, if you want to level a char, you shouldn't be entering boss fights to begin with. Just spam run a few 400% or something.

I agree, people should level their characters to 40 since it only takes like 15 mins so there is really no excuse to be level 1 during colossus public matches.

Good news is that this will no longer matter since the devs said that during S3 they will change it so that descendant stats remain as level 40 stats when the level is reset to level 1 after using a catalyst.

minus the void one and maybe the last hard mode one, any colossus can be killed easily in less then a minute even with level ones. if this was season 0/1 then i would agree, but now you should be going into colossus parties being able to solo the thing alone if need be.

How big of a difference is level 1 descendant stats to level 40?

1-40, is not your level, descendant, builds... Is how you play it.

This complain about low level in colossi is old story, plenty of people with OP equipments. Unless we are talking about the current abyss one, that usually require specifics.

So, don't feel intimidated to play with your low level, just be smart, be positive.
Heck some of us, "veterans", know that this game need more people, and I don't want to spook anyone.

without mods it very noticeable. your hp going from 1000s to less then that and your shields drop to around 100-200 barely. ideally anything in hard mode could sneeze on you and down you. though with mods it makes it that you can survive a hit or 3 before going down unless its from a big attack.

again i will with this but only to a certain extent. the new abyss colossus, ice maiden, and the last hard mode colossus, death stalker are examples i say you should be level 40 for. hp/shields alone help you survive way more at max then being level.

anytime ive run this with level 1s, they are the ones that go down. and for the void abyss colossus, thats just wasted time and a fail. other content like sigma and void erosion you can be level 1 because it doesnt matter as guns are the best answer to that.

(for a PA with VE its best not to do on level 1 still as you get no exp from that map)

really though its not the new people doing this, its the "veterans" that think they are hot ♥♥♥♥ and are just ♥♥♥♥ while slowing down the team by going down so much.

Didn't they recently change it to where you still have the same stats at Lv.1 after a Catalyst Reset, or is that pending season 3 update?

You can bring level 1's into my colossi fight because I'll take them out no matter what level you are.

A fresh level 1 with nothing but the handful of mods they can fit? Yes, correct.
A level 1 that's just about fully forma'd or is going for the 60 resets? They're fine.

Also depends of their frame.

I think I make 5 or 6 run in Sigma sector in HARD mode to get from lvlv 1 to 40. Then upgrade a module, and repeat, DO you really get XP vs Collosis?
