I believe there is some sort of achievement or medal for playing the Void Vessal on normal 1000 times. That is about all it offers me.
I could complain about how folks do this or that, but this board is totally filled with folks doing stuff like that.
But for new players, they are after distinct objectives. Doesn't hurt me to play one or two Void Vessal games on normal, especially if I run into a couple folks who need a hand.
Be a sheep dog and help them.
So... I run a lot of 400% dungeons and I always do it in a group. I am pretty astonished how many of these games have folks who need help. As I said in the OP, I stay to the rear and only intervene if necessary. Can't tell you how many people I have revived and how many times it was necessary to aggressively attack and kill the final boss.
The phrase "sheep dog" comes from the movie American Sniper.
Be a sheep dog and help the new folks! They willl appreciate it.
I believe most don't understand the mechanics.
I played awhile with a guy who was level 3 today. When I looked at his descendant, I noted immediately that he hadn't invested into any of his modules. Next time I will teach him that.
Wasn't a waste for me... got a whole bunch of blue weapons I can now level up. :)
Oh... and I have had quite a few folks thank me for helping them.
I try to read world chat from time to time to see if anyone is asking for help, in addition to the dumpster fire that world chats are in general, it does not help that it does not have timestamps so if I don't see the message as they were just typing it then I assume is an old message and ignore it.
I also look in recruit chat but almost nobody uses that one for some reason.
The tutorials and player to player interface is terrible. Especially at the beginning when everything is totally new.
Mind, most folks don't ask me for help. I just join in dungeons and play. Real quick you can tell if the folks there struggle and it is amazing how many times that happens. Lots of those folks are playing Bunny and the guy I played with today was playing Ajax. I don't worry about how much time it takes me. He sent me a friend invite. I sent him a join invite. Then I gave him the lead. I let the new people do all the mechanics stuff so I can be sure they understand them. Sometimes they don't.
Be a sheep dog and help folks out.
Long ago, I got matched with a fully built bunny while I was leveling up someone who was not good at mobbing. For some reason, they did not use any abilities. The only thing they did was make the mission take way longer than it had to.
The majority of people playing PUBS expect everybody to use the full extent of they're powers to complete the mission. Unless you’re helping someone asking for help, most people will think “Why is this person barely doing anything?”
It means I won't be running ahead of everybody and killing everything and turning the game into a boriing mess where the rest of the team doesn't even get a shot in.
Way too many of these folks around who should be playing solo if they don't have any consideration for the rest of team.
